DuraTop ICT-55 is one of the inert top gradings which are developed to replace inert ceramic balls and alumina balls at the top of catalytic reactors, by increasing distribution properties and void fractions to extend cycle length of the units. The larger void fraction and different shapes allow better resistance against particulate deposition (solids such as rust, gum, coke, etc.) or top bed crust formation
DuraTop ICT-55 is a kind of inert Ceramic Extrude with 5 Triangular holes which are produced from a specially formulated silica / alumina material and fired under strict controlled conditions ensuring the following properties:
High temperature resistance
High thermal shock resistance
Uniform roundness to minimize pressure drop
High crushing strength.
High void space.
DuraTop ICT-55 as bed hold-down material at the top of the catalyst bed can provide pressure drop relief, optimize the flow distribution, capture of particulates and other contaminants in the feed.
