HyKat A201R is a pre-reduced iron-based ammonia synthesis catalyst consisting of few carefully selected promoters.
HyKat A201R is widely used in the most of the ammonia converters to convert synthesis gas containing hydrogen and nitrogen into ammonia.
HyKat A201R is produced through carefully controlled reduction of A201 and skin passivated to ensure safe handling. The use of reduced catalyst A201R could significantly reduce the catalyst activation time, hence minimizing plant downtime. Furthermore, the activation of A201R only generates minor amounts of water, resulting in less aqueous ammonia produced during start-up.
