HyKat A202R is a pre-reduced iron-based ammonia synthesis catalyst consisting of few carefully selected promoters.
HyKat A202R is widely used in the most of the ammonia converters to convert synthesis gas containing hydrogen and nitrogen into ammonia.
HyKat A202R is produced through carefully controlled reduction of A202 and skin passivated to ensure safe handling. The use of reduced catalyst A202R could significantly reduce the catalyst activation time, hence minimizing plant downtime. Furthermore, the activation of A202R only generates minor amounts of water, resulting in less aqueous ammonia produced during start-up.
