Syngas, or synthesis gas, is a fuel gas mixture consisting primarily of H2 and CO with cleanup to remove particulate matter and other impurities (H2S, NH3, and metals). To produce Syngas, the hydrocarbons that can be fed to H2, Ammonia, Methanol Plants include natural gas, associated gas, liquid petroleum gas, and naphthas boiling up to 220℃. Higher hydrocarbons are not used in primary steam reforming because it would lead to coke formation on the catalysts. Hydrocarbons are usually contaminated with variable quantities of different sulfur compounds and often contain chlorides. These catalyst poisons must be removed before the other catalysts in the plant can operate in a satisfactory manner. Impurities in natural gas are usually simple sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans and are easily removed.
Syngas can be produced from many sources, including natural gas, coal, biomass, or virtually any hydrocarbon feedstock, by reaction with steam (steam reforming), carbon dioxide (dry reforming) or oxygen (partial oxidation). Syngas is a crucial intermediate resource for production of hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and synthetic hydrocarbon fuels. Syngas is also used as an intermediate in producing synthetic petroleum for use as a fuel or lubricant via the Fischer–Tropsch process and previously the Mobil methanol to gasoline process.
Chempack offers full ranges of the adsorbents & catalyst to produce Syngas for H2, Ammonia, Methanol Plants, from feed gas purification like hydrodesulfurization, sulfur/arsine/chloride removal, steam reforming, methanation, PSA Hydrogen Purification etc.
Hydrogen production is an essential component of many industrial processes, the growth in this industry is driven by a variety of these global changes & incerasing consumption. Espeically in oil refineries, hydrogen is a very importation materials which consumed in oil refinery processes, like the hydrotreating, hydrocracking, dearomatization and isomerization. The hydrogen capacity in refineries is increasing due to upgraded fuel specifications, the processing of heavier crudes, increasing need for lighter crude oil products and strong demand for chemical intermediates.

Chempack offer a complete portfolio of solutions for on purpose hydrogen production, as well as feed purification, Reforming, shift reactions and methanation, also offer catalyst for ammonia and methanol synthesis. For each of these syngas processes, we developed innovative catalysts which are optimized to enhance the performance, efficiency and profitability of production plants.
Chempack is developing catalysts with ultra-low pressure drop, and also new generation of the syngas catalyst with an extremely high activity even when operating in low temperatures, at the same time, Chempack coopearted with our partners for hard working on the development of new catalyst which can fulfills the upcoming environmental protection regulations.
The family of the Syngas catalyst includes a range of cost-effective products that are produced based in the factories of China with a controlled cost level with reliable quailty to assure the high activivty and stability to help to maximize the productivity and efficiency of a hydrogen plant with lower purchase & operation cost.
